500 ml bottle, 2021 vintage, no dating I noticed but I'm pretty sure this was released about a month or 2 ago. Served in a Branch & Bone chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with maybe a half inch tan head that fizzled away quickly. Small amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like cinnamon, chilies, cacao, vanilla and roasted malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some burnt/charred malt, oak and bourbon flavors. I think the chili and cinnamon flavors stand out compared to the others. Nice heat from the chilies too. Barrel character seems light but then I think it's overpowered somewhat by the chilies. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit coating and rich with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a pretty good brew, should have bought more when I had the chance!
