Blackish brown pour with a light brown head. Smells of cocoa and roasted malt, prune, earth, coffee and raisin supporting. Taste has cocoa, cola, and dark fruit upfront, then roasted malt with a dark yeast, finished by earth and char flakes. Feel is lighter bodied, dry with a more airy roast, sneaky chewy

Poured at fridge temp. Pours black with a solid 2 inches of tan head. The nose is lovely. Dark malts, raisins, prunes, wheat, chocolate.
The taste is super smooth. A touch of cola, raisin, big malts, slight bitter oak, earthy, black licorice, molasses, and a touch of dark chocolate. Grainy and dry.
The mouthfeel is light with a dry and roasty finish. Very nice overall.

Dark brown, nearing black, but for a clear mahogany edge under a soft but very thin off-white blanket.
Coming off as a little odd after their English dark, it's kind of rooty and herbal, nearing sassafras and cola, but also hinting at molasses and woody cologne--but those are all very light accents. Tangy.
The body is frothy but light, lightly chewy, semi-dry.
