When I was in Jr. High School, when it was thought that a girl classmate was “fine,” it was like she was the queen bee. But now that I am old (not very old, but old), I still find this beer as “fine” in a way. And that’s when definition defers. “Fine” in the thrust of youth was a monumental adventure; but when you hit mid age, it’s like a Big Mac that’s wasn’t burned (not that I know anything about that). Still, I’m going to say that this beer is a Big Mac that wasn’t burned.

Was awaiting the big blonde bombshell to kickoff SFBW a night early and about 100 miles away. Any excuse to grub at UR. Had a pour of this hangin' out solo.
Pours a damn fine lager, light gold, amazing clarity 5/6" white head on top. Very sexy. The aroma displayed an adjunct like lager display of both corn and barley, refreshing actually. Don't think because the word adjunct is in there that it = bad.
Taste continues with the refreshing push, good lager yeast hitting that dry mild skunk note (also in a good way). Very light hop aspect to it, not familiar much with Lorien hops but they do the trick here not interfering with the barley, corn and yeast aspect. Light citrus component, the breadiness is like barely toasted white bread. After a long day at work, then a long drive, this was a great transition into the land of refreshment, delicious food and foreshadowing into a great weekend of awesome times. Downright amazing how good UR is with all kinds of different food and beer styles. Only downside, I wish the place was less popular, much less in downtown Sacramento.

Sweet honey bread malty, hint of maize, and floral lemony citrus nose on this one! Taste follows with a super clean, light malty crispy, and hint of lemon hoppy finish. Did I say clean?! Whoa...almost too clean. I only wished the flavor was a little fuller on the backend. This is a fantastic crispyboi!
