Had this at the 5050 Eclipse party 2021, finally a return to the non madness Eclipse party years. Sometimes ye ride the wave before it crests, during the crest and afterwards. This is me. Anyways, just added the beer to the database and also reviewing it because I'm not a total sociopath.
Pours an amber like color infused with the reddish pink hue of raspberries. I also dig the name. Its like, I agree, but also, time is the boss of all of us along the ways of Bob Dylan's Gotta Serve Somebody. Anyways, its a pretty color but not much in the way of head formation. The aroma checks the barrel aged and raspberries thing, dry woodiness and raspberries. Nothing real definitive between a wild ale and a saison in the aroma.
Taste hits the right amount of raspberry and sourness. Now I'm here going, ok ok, this is a saison instead of a trumped up wild ale. Levity to the mouth feel, but almost extreme dryness, raspberries doing their thing. The ol juxtaposition of very light body but huge flavors and mouth feel.
Really another good selection and totally on point for the day, there is only so much bourbon barrel stout you can drink in a 5 hour period. Or maybe it was 4 hours. Shit I lost my Lupulos hat that day, what a bummer.
