This is the Blood Orange Hefeweizen.
Modest head which leaves little lace, only minute spots on the glass. The liquid is hazy as expected but not cloudy. The color is orange-hued amber.
The smell doesn't have much of a wheat presence. There's a mild sourness with a bit of beer stew background. Relatively unusual for the style.
There's an unexpected bite to the initial taste. Again, very little wheat, but I do pick up on some fruity sweetness. I'd be hard pressed to identify blood orange. The mild sourness remains. Lowly carbonated, especially for the style. The body is fuller than expected as well.
