Very enjoyable wheat beer. I sampled from a couple of 750ml bottles that were brought to the US by relatives who were visiting.
Golden orange color, poured with a light head that lasted through most of the glass. The taste is what you expect from a wheat beer, but with hints of caramel and apricot, leaves a pleasantly sweet aftertaste.

330 ml can. Pours orange with tall long lasting white head. Medium smooth body. Taste is of spices, grassy hops, bready malt and ripe fruit. Long spicy finish. Good brew.

Look: deep and golden turning orange with a nice haze

Mouth feel: soft and leaning to a fuller body as expected for dunkel weizen.

Overall:
This was an impulse buy at the grocery store in Amsterdam... Albert Heijn's
Selling these as singles. Also bought Brouwerij'tij ijwit 6.5 ABV local craft brewer

Now that I've scratched the surface of Dutch beers on this two day trip, I've got three preliminary conclusions.

First, the 12 ounce can is still alive in The Netherlands. This is good news for old people like me who like to sample less than 16 ounces.

Second, there is a growing craft movement in Holland; but their beers aren't making it to the U.S. and often not even outside of Holland. Texels is one such.

Third, if Dutch crafters are not exporting; they are not putting English translation buttons on their websites. One such also is Texels. So I don't know much about them except the photos of people having fun. Hence I can't award them more than good Overall Hugs; despite their diverse portfolio that seems to emphasise Belgians, my favourite tradition.

Texels Dunkel is close to the Bavarian masters: soft, somewhat fruity. Its foamy head Looks like I want to drink it. Smells are only somewhat above the style's average. Really so are Tastes, fruity and flavourful in the attack; but has a slightly oddly dry finish. Soft and medium-mouthed. Have again? Not sure. But I like that 12 ounce can.

Pours a slightly hazy copper body with pretty decent white head
Aroma is hints of Belgian candy
Flavour has that and wheat and gnarly goats

I understand why it is categorized as a dunkelweizen as there is wheatmalt in it, but i'd rather would call this a brown ale or a belgian dubble style of beer.
It has it origin on Texel a Dutch Island tot the North. Skuumkoppe is local dialect for "schuimhoofd", refers to a head of foam (like see waves can have). The bottle says it is nowadays brewed in the Heineken Brewery in Den Bosch, south on the mainland.
Poured from a 300ml dark bown bottle, at around 5 degrees celcius in a Skuumkoppe glass, 2 finger off-white head. Pretty amber coulour, nice natural carbonation, medium small bubble.
Smell, bread and sweat, salty caramel.
Malts are tasted well, bit of honey, quite a bitter after taste.
Mouth feel good at first, round but a little harsh on the aftertaste bitterness.

On tap in Amsterdam. To me this isn't the typical dunkel, especially in appearance. Much lighter in color, orange instead of brown. Taste is somewhere between a dunkel and trippel with a sweet sour flavor. A unique beer worth trying.

On tap 't Pandje. Orange amber with a creamy 2 finger head. Smells like malt with vanilla. Taste follows. Frisky malts with a smooth vanilla taste. Makes for a smooth beer. A bit too sweet to be perfect. Still tastes amazing.

enjoyed while watching willem ii trying not to get crushed by ajax. this is an ordinary but not unpleasent dunkel, nice brown bread malt flavours, sweet dark fruits, bit of treacle, but flavours pretty subdued, light bitterness on the finish, medium to high cabriantion, light bodied, pretty drinkable, nothing remarkable but grand
