this is delicious after a hot and long day, super refreshing, super drinkable, well refined. they actually call it a lager style ale or something like that, perhaps more like a kolsch, done with ale yeast at colder temperatures for longer, this certainly is crisp like its been lagered, and is insanely light and bubbly, nicely refined, noticeably fresh for a yellow beer, holds its inch of white foam nicely, and is a beautifully snappy and repeatable pint. the malt is minimal as can be, a very faint european pils taste to it, but none of the crackery length to the taste, its only there for a flash in the middle and then its gone, nothing more than trace bittering hops here too, possibly noble, but hardly appreciable in the flavor. the yeast is also very clean, so its the minerals of the water and the lack of flaws that make this stand out as fine quality and distinctive in its class, nowhere to cover up issues with yeast or balance or anything, so this almost impresses more for what it isnt than what it is, but i sure like what it is too. great carbonation, bone dry, gone on the swallow, but not flavorless either. one of the lightest craft beers i can recall really, and in terms of refreshment value, its a banger. first one went down like nothing, second one just as easy. these guys remain sort of underrated i think. i hope they keep making this, definitely should be their next six pack can!

16 oz crowler from Lost Grove. Very pale golden, almost white wine looking, small cap of foamy head. Aroma is grainy , bready, saison yeast. Fruity. Taste comes in seeming like a lager, but the saison/ farmhouse vibe kicks in for some grassy, floral flavors. I'd put in a correction to the style, but realistically these are the only ratings this is ever gonna get.
