This is still around for 2021. On tap at the Point Loma location. Pours a dark, nearly black brew with plenty of foam in the Duvel tulip. Malty and substantial mouthfeel with plenty of spritz. Taste is endless roasted malt with hints of charring but a date and caramel finish. Aroma of roasted grain with a note of coffee.
This is one of the best Stouts of any variety I've had in a long time. Strong but perfectly drinkable. The hoppy edge balances the sweet malt nicely. From the 32 oz crowler can.
