Clear golden amber brew with a nice pile of foam in the Troubadour tulip. Quite sudsy and lush on the tongue. Malty mouthfeel but less sticky than a lot of DIPAs. Flavors of peach with a woody, roasted finish. Pleasingly fruity and rich but distinctly bitter in the West Coast fashion.
This seems to hit the right balance among the bitter and sweet, the malt and hops, flavor and alcohol. One of the better DIPAs I've had this year, and a nice surprise from a brewery I am coming to respect. From the 32 oz crowler can purchased at their bayside tasting room.
