you dont see a lot of these, traditionally honey or molasses based if i remember right, and this one is really tasty, subtly different, and majorly drinkable. it is more blonde than i have seen in the style before, usually almost brown or at least a bit of toasted malt, but here its light and golden, clear and shiny, and with a nice head from the tap. one smell and i immediately know i ordered well. it has a little floral sweetness, a fuller multigrain base, a sunshiny delicacy, and a unique european sort of yeast complexion, almos kolsch-esque to me in the nose, even crisp enough to be cold conditioned in the taste and feel, although im not exactly sure how this one was built. its clean when i drink it, the grain is minimal, even behind the light honey flavor in here, its long though for being so light, and has a decided floral note, even tea-like for a moment, not much from the hops at all, subtle vanilla, natural and springy. i could drink a whole mess of these, especially at their little brewery with a nice breeze blowing through, great vibes and great beer! seems like lots of room for interpretation in this style...
