Further down the magical winding road of lagerbier. This iteration of our process left us with the hoped-for bright straw color, and very clean bready-sweet aroma. The mild sweetness follows itself through in flavor as it carries a pleasant hoppiness contributed by German Perle hops.

cool can, great beer, technically rock solid, i feel like these guys have come a long way with their beer over the last bunch of years, its been awhile for me and i was impressed this time with just about all i had from them, doing some cool things, and these pint cans all look awesome, this one included, love the name too, neat and modern all the way around. not quite yellow in the glass, its deeper than that, but short of brassy, just a bit more malt than is standard for this style, high and lasting white head, spirited carbonation, good clarity, looks right on in my glass, classy even. the nose has subtle bready sweetness, maltier indeed than is common in what i call beer flavored beer like this, leaning german maybe with the lager yeast and also the hops, which have a soft herbal freshness and less bitterness than a german pils generally does, not that this is that, but it does tease german in a few spots, all cohesive and clean, well composed for sure, and the flavor is equally enjoyable, slightly hearty with the fuller malt profile but this is still a total drinker, light toast, almond, honey but not sweet, bread yeast and even bread crust, grassy noble-like hop character but also with a mild floral springy side, low bitterness, neat. nice balance, warms up well, smooth mouthfeel, excited carbonation all the way, and overall a rock solid lager, versatile food beer, and quality offering of some distinction in a style that tends to limit personality in most interpretations, so well done here. excited about what these guys seem to have become, and seemingly without much fanfare...

16oz can from Side A. Dark, clear golden pour, fizzy head. Bready, malty aroma. Taste is light, crackers, malty. Kind of a sticky feel and a medium weight to it . Heavier than your average pale lager.
