After sitting in the fridge for 2 years I finally put this 2011 "limited edition" in glass.
I guess it won Gold at the 2012 GABF for a reason....
I'm not a stout guy so I really have a poor base for a review.
Seems like there's some fruit, plum and some chocolate, sweet dry finish, light mouth feel w/ a pretty clean hop bitterness ..
A nice beer.

From a 22 ounce bottle which my cousin purchased at the brewery and split with me. Thanks! It is supposedly gassed with nitrogen as well. On to the beer:
This black bodied beer formed a low head on the pour, leaving barely a trace of lace as the bee is consumed. But it smells like dessert; it's not shy bringing cocoa and sweet fudge notes to the aroma, though it also brings a pinch of booze as well. This export stout meets the style by being sweet, slightly fruity, and bringing a bit of noticeable alcohol to its arsenal. If you don't like the taste of fudge, you may want to pour your glass out. Quite sweet overall. It's medium bodied, but in terms of carbonation is low.
This foreign/export stout is solid as it stands. A few tweaks could take it next level and attract some people away from those chic imperial stouts.

I usually do not like export stouts, but Starry Night is one of the better ones I have had. It is nothing too special but it is definitely not a bad stout.
A lot of reviews said it is sour...I think they just got infected bottles. Worth picking one up to try.

Found this one sitting on a shelf in a whole food in Santa Barbara
Vintage 2011
Look: Black in color with brown rings on the edges. 1/8 inch head and no retention with some spotty lacing
Smell: Roasted malt and a bit of charcoal
Taste: Roasted malt some coffee and chocolate. Pretty boring actually
Mouthfeel: Medium body mild carbonation
Overall: Not good
