Swung by Island's taproom with a friend today and discovered they had a new beer on tap, which is like having a tiny surprise party thrown for you. I really liked this one. Fruit beers can sometimes be too sweet or the flavor doesn't mix well. Well not this one! Island's attempt at a Raspberry Weiss is pretty darn good. It's nothing exotic, just a wheat ale with a bit of raspberry flavoring tossed in. It's similar to the Lindeman's line of fruit beers without as much sugary sweetness, while retaining a bit more weissness. If you like the weiss style and enjoy a bit of fruity flavor, you'd dig this one.
