Appearance: Dark and viscous
Smell: Dark fruits
Taste: Hints of plums and raisins with plenty of malt character.
Mouthfeel: Crisp yest somehow thick at the same time.
Overall: Delicious. Holiday and winter ales aren't my favorite style, but this one has plenty of flavor without being overpowering. Like most other Island offerings, they've found the right balance between hops and malts.

On tap at the BevMo Holiday Beerfest held at Golden Road Brewing in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a hazy dark brown with a foamy bone colored head that settles to an oily film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, caramel, and spices. Taste is much the same with a mild roasty and spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is pretty tasty.
