Pint can 6/4/18 " The Villian always wins" on bottom of can.
Sub style: "Frappe Ipa" Brewed with a heavy dose of lactose, then dry-hopped with vanilla beans.
A frappe-style thickness, not just hazy folks, opaque muddy. A apricot and gold color with white highlights. Soft tower of fluffy white foam standsstandsp high within the Treehouse long stemmed ipa glass. The foam dissipates to a thin cover and solid ring around the edges with a bit of sticky lace leftover as well.
The nose is very bold and complex, with a certain vanilla smooth sweetness, strawberry and pineapple fruitiness and tangy grapefruit edges. The hop aroma is both delightful and intense, the sweet vanilla effect is simply inticing. Awesome aroma.
The first gulp brings forth a heavy dose of very complex and fruity hop flavor, pineapple, mango and strawberries pop right out, the vanilla bean "dry-hopping" (did I just type that...?? Lol) effect is simply awesome, smooth sweetness in both flavor and mouthfeel. The lactose addition is pretty rad, giving a thicker, milk shake like smooth and velvety feeling and texture. Round, but crispy, health, light and then full bodied due to the thickness. The finish is a slightly bitter and earthy hop bite with a bit of long malty tones, lactose smoothness and vanilla sweetness together.
So, the hops are fruity awesome ness, the lactose and vanilla bean adjuncts add serious charecter and effect in all aspects, together you really have a unique, delicious concoction that I proudly say, is created right here in my home town of Keene, NH.
