It was pink...on tap at the brewery. Minimal head. Pink...cute.
Slight smell of strawberry, sledge hammer hit of brine, some grapefruit and resin pine along for the ride, too.
The taste - super salty assault. Once the shock dies down, a bit of sweetness, a little strawberry (?), and some typical IPA hoppiness. ANy tang from the wheat is buried by the salt. Ok...it sounds like a mess and I think it is, but it was actually enjoyable to drink.
Overall, fun and if it was less salty it might fare better. According to the staff, this was a case of too many brewers in the brewhaus. One thought they were making a gose, one a fruity sour, the other an IPA. True or not, this does sound like hey this doesn't taste hprribke, let's put it out there. I liked it, but it is a mad scramble.
