Our experimental series continues with an exceptionally well balanced IPA. You’ll experience a malty-sweet backbone with hints of biscuit to stabilize the hoppy orange citrus flavors. This beer was naturally carbonated to provide an exceptionally soft mouthfeel. We are very exited to watch this series grow as number two has us wondering what will be next.

Poured into my Halloween skull tulip glass canned on 9/11/18. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a 2 plus finger white head that leaves some thin webs of lace as settles rather quickly.
Smell is tangerine, biscuit, apricot, lemon, and grapefruit rind.
Taste follows tropical with some bitterness, a hint of biscuit with apricot and pineapple.
Mouthfeel is about medium, plenty of life, maybe a tad dry, and goes down easy at 6.5% ABV.
Overall this is solid, not a traditional NEIPA a little to much carbonation to be true to the style.

Canned on 9/11/18 opened on 9/20/18 bottom of the can reads: " eat the rude"
So this one is said to be all about balance. ....
A proper hazy Appearance within the yellow-gold and white liquid. A wonderfully creamy, whipped tower of pure white foam is very impressive. Long reyention, full coverage throughout and tons of lace.
A grainy, malt aroma is detected first, like a nice mix of summer hay fields and wet earth. Then, its a big citrus thing, lemmon, sharp tropical fruits and a blend of herbs and spices straight outta grandma' kitchen. Seriously tangy and sharp citrus hop smell is the most intense aspect to the nose.
Crisp...very crisp in both texture and malty flavor. Big time graininess from the super light, but seriously tasty golden, pilsner ish malty side. I tend to always notice the malty flavor's first, even with seriously complex hoppy ipa's. The hops profile is pretty serious, with a citrus/lemmon zest style flavor really popping off, much like nose. Big, golden grains, corn husk, and very fresh, earthiness also comes out of these hops. Not a fruit-bomb, the earthy and herbal side of the hops dominate and dances around the malty base very fluidly. Citrus, some light tropical fruits and lemmon zest really make the hoppy complexity here.
A fine balance has certainly been achieved, although the earthy, grainy flavor's really dominate in the hops, which I like very much. A "green" aftertaste from the hops is kinda grassy.
The mouthfeel is much more crisp and light than I'm user to from Branch & Blade NE style ipa's. Not as thick feeling or creamy, but light with a bite. You could still concider this smooth, just not silky or milkshaky, but it certainly does have a smooth finsh after the grainy bite.
Major league quality New England style ipa's is just flowing out of this new, and rather excellent home town brewery.
