What's your lightest sandwich? It's the classic BLT. What's your lightest beer? Also the classic BLT. Some of the simplest things in life are the most enjoyable. This beer isn't flashy. It isn't dry hopped. It isn't overloaded with fruit. It isn't "hype." What is this beer? Damn clean and enjoyable. A classic Pilsner.

Can from the Packie
Lightly hazy light gold in color with a small bubbly white head that dissipates quickly. Bready crackery maltiness with earthy spicy hops to counter. Light green apple and astringency. Decent attempt at a German style.

From a 16oz can, undated. Served in a Pilsner glass.
Pours a lightly hazed, sunshiney-bright gold with two honest fingers of tight, white fluff. Retention is good, leaving a foamy cap and puffy wads of lacing. Looks damn good.
Aroma is sweet and malty, noble hops, apple skins and fresh hay.
Taste follows along with the nose, apple skins and just a hint of a slightly sharp character, like apple cider vinegar, then spicy, grassy hay, and finishing sweet and peppery.
Feel is smooth and round, somewhat full bodied, with gentle but ample carbonation.
Overall, I’m reluctantly impressed. My expectations were not high but, truth is, other than being perhaps a bit heavy relative to the style, they’ve done a better than credible job here. An extra 0.25 overall for surprising to the upside!
