my first ever from these guys, amazing label art, cool beer, a thick dense hazy double ipa, very new england proper, cool hop profile, maybe off from epic freshness or not canned incredibly well, light oxidation in aroma and flavor, but its minor enough that this is still real enjoyable, smooth and full, filling even, seems wheat and oat based to me, protein rich, cereal forward, and overall just off from fully dry, a fine place for this to be and a good base for all the hops they pack in. starchy pale orange brew with a creamy almost inch of white head dense and lasting, nice carbonation keeps this from getting too heavy at any point. notes of waxy raw floral honey and fresh cut flowers in the nose, white grape, yellow peach, and cantaloupe are also present, light grassy bitterness to but pretty restrained there, sweet for a flash. the flavor is more intense on the hops, botanical and punchy, with mandarin orange juiciness and some weedy dank character too, bold without bitter or green character really, a light guava tropical thing later, clean citrus, oily hops, still floral too, springy, distinctive overall, with quite a lot from the malts, soft but big feeling, a prickle of alcohol as it warms, lasting hops on the center of the tongue, even sort of spicy as it warms up, unique hop complexion, solid stuff, hope to hook into some more from these guys in the near future. the art on the label is sick!

No born on or Best Before date on can
Purchased from the Monadnock food coop on 6/16/22. Reviewed same day.

Look: A rather murky, dark inner haze of burnt orange, otherwise with golden hues. A thin, moderate, white foam cap creates decent cover throughout. Minimal lace.

Nose: Ripe and sweet tropical fruits upfront. Melon and strawberry with sweet citrus and pineapple.

Feel & Flavor: A very thin, juicy feel, light for a NEDIPA, not really smooth but definitely thin and juicy. Earthy spice hop tones abound, then it's subdued tropical fruits with a grainy, zesty golden malt kick. A flat, spicy dry leafy kick in the backdrop with maybe a bit too much boozy heat in the finish.

Overall: Sharp and harsh edges in an otherwise potentially complex and interesting NEDIPA.

Poured into a 13 oz Teku glass not sure when it was canned but assuming the last 7 to 10 days. Pours a hazy yellow orange with a half finger sticky white head that leaves thin streaks of lace with nice retention. 4.25

Aroma is passionfruit, honeydew, tangerine, and apricot. 4.25

Taste follows passionfruit, honeydew, tangerine, and apricot really well balanced. 4.25

Mouthfeel is medium, soft gentle carbonation, not sticky or dry, and at 8% it is really easy drinking. 4.25

Overall this is a very nice NEDIPA would highly recommend. 4.25
