Thanks to Mbgreg for this one. Received in NBS BIF #15.
Stamped 03/22/22
Pours a fairly opaque golden orange in hue.Fluffy white head asserts roughly an inch and a half in height. Good retention, has a slow retreat to a thin cap. Layered lacing leaves lovely lumps. Not said quickly 5 times.
Nose pops with orange, pineapple, mango, and a slight, almost boozy, sweetness. Crackery grain chimes in as well.
The flavor starts with a firm maltiness characteristic of many DIPA's that come in around 10%. But that malt carries a lovely mix of mango, orange, honey, and light herbal spice.
The feel is medium heft, active carbonation, and a slight, drying bitterness that tapers off the sweetness. No discernible ABV warmth foreshadowed by the nose.
Overall, a really solid DIPA.
