On tap at Lucky’s in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a slightly hazy pale orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This is extremely floral and sweet as festbiers go, on the nose. There’s no real oak or anything, just underattenuated malt character.
I really do not like this. Oak aged and festbier are two drool-worthy beer words for me, but this really did not come together. It’s just so oddly floral, with very little malt character that isn’t just generically sweet. It has not bite or structure to it. It’s very lightly carbonated, and just feels sloppy, and almost homebrew like. I don’t know if this is how it was intended – I really, really hope not.
This is lighter bodied, and very hard to get through.
I keep hearing good things locally about Eli Fish, but I really haven’t had anything that I would want again from them.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
