They hide the 7 month aging in Black Button bourbon barrels to some fine print. It’s a good sub-dessert stout, with hazelnut, vanilla, cacao nibs, and some undisclosed natural flavoring. Drinking it in a EF branded mini-snifter, the small tulip opening really is the right glass to appreciate this one. The bourbon comes across nicely in the aroma and flavor. The adjuncts complement each other, none being too dominant or too weak. At $12/500 it’s at the lower price level for these big BA 500 ml stouts.
