On tap at Fattey Beer Company in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells pretty maple forward, which should not surprise you. There’s some oaky spice, caramel, and apple brandy as well.
This is quite heavy, as implied by the name – with a sledgehammer of maple and malt that surprisingly doesn’t actually get too sweet. This is reminiscent of a less successful attempt at Lawson’s Maple Tripple. It’s bready and caramelly, with a ton of maple, and a spicy hit of apple brandy and oak. I wonder if this might age well, as the flavors are good but quite intense.
This is heavy, thick, but not syrupy, with a definite booziness to it.
This is the first beer from Eli Fish that I’ve actually enjoyed.
