A double barrel stout aged 12 months (per the bottle, but maybe 16 per their description) in Black Button barrels and then 4 months in maple bourbon barrels.

Drank 2024, brewed 2023 IIRC. Poured cold to an Eli Fish mini snifter. This is a killer beer. Jet black color, with no attempt at a head. The nose is a little subdued, with hints of leather and plum. It could easily be a five aroma. Aged beautifully, with loads of sweet bourbon, a slight tannic cut, then a pleasant light fresh maple syrup finish on a solid dark malt base, leathery, clean and complex. I’d put this up against any big boy stout. I wish EF would make another round similar or something.
