How the hell did BBThunderbolt add this from Kiribati? In any event, reads great on paper, but very disappointing. Looks fantastic. Jet black, menacing. That’s about where it stops. Draft cold it is entirely stunted, as in, nothing but dark water. Letting it warm and aerate helps a little, but it is not really evolving. The mouthfeel is nice. The base stout is nice, but there is a subtle twang on the back end, almost like Belgian stout. “Donut” flavor profile is nowhere. I’ll let it sit some more while I try the OctoDecim, but I’m not holding out much hope.
