Cloudy red-orange-tan color. Poured a tall head that almost completely disappeared in two minutes. Too cloudy to see the carbonation level, although there are fresh tiny bubbles appearing on the surface. Left only a few small dots of lacing.

Almost an even blend of raspberry and sour funk. There is a very light wood scent, like this has been aged in new barrels. Swirling the glass kicked up a strong burning sulfur smell, as if a wooden match had just been struck. This disappeared after a couple of seconds. Then it was back to the original raspberry and funk smell.

Moderate tart with clean raspberry. This has not been cooked to death. The funk builds as it warms up a bit. There is wood in the flavor, but not like a new barrel. The wood is a bit more like aromatic fruit tree twigs. Light graham cracker malt. Mild bitters. Very light black tea. The aftertaste is a stronger bitter with stronger black tea. The raspberry comes back as the tea fades out.

Strong tongue tingling for a few seconds. Quickly turns into a large bubbled foam. Somewhat astringent; my mouth was a bit dry and teeth felt a bit fuzzy after swallowing.

Very nice touch with the raspberry. I find that berries are often scorched. These taste great and work well with the light malt to keep this tasting like a beer instead of a cooler. Whatever is contributing the tea flavor seems to also be making this more astringent.
