Had this back in February 2020. Pretty disappointing, especially for a 100% Mosaic hopped ipa.
Pours an amber color. Like, not even light amber either. Off white head, 1/2". Aroma was lacking, the crystal malt might have been even stronger than the Mosaic hops in the nose. This just doesn't make sense. Caramel instead of guava, weed and passion fruit is not what I like to experience when dealing with "100% Mosaic hops".
Taste is also disappointing, Mosaic shows up a little more in the taste, but its still so minuscule compared to the big malt body. Little notes of tropical feelings. Light fruitiness of almost a berry like dimension with a high degree of sticky barley. This kind of tastes like they made a Mexican Imperial Vienna Lager, and decided to throw a little bit of Mosaic hops into that beer to make a weird mashup that makes for a less than desireable beer. I mean I dunno, maybe there is someone out there who thinks an Imperial Vienna Ale w/ Mosaic hops is sorely needed, but I'll pass next time.
