Poured from 330mL can into my Belvárosi sörfesztivál tulip. Best by 9/9/25 … I’m guessing that means it was canned rather recently!
Appearance: medium golden hue with a moderate haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam.
Smell: whoa, this is like a super earthy-tropical mango and papaya bomb. I’m not overly familiar with HBC-1019 hops, but man, there are even notes of coconut here … almost like a suntan lotion! One of the most tropical NEIPAs I have smelled and I am definitely here for the ride!
Taste: moderately sweet with a sort of dry tropical character — more along the lines of an herbal character with a bit of coconut, than a juicy tropical bomb. I like it well enough, but it’s hard to compare to the weirdness of that aroma!
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: man, I thought I’d tasted it all when it comes to NEIPAs … this is one weird duck, but I’m into it.
