Foggy straw yellow with a short white blanket retaining moderately well.
Minty Lemonheads meet hay bale in this effervescently light sort of farmhouse ale. A second visit confirms the green hops exude an Altoids characteristic, for sure

Bottle: Poured a semi-cloudy amber color ale with a small foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of funky ester with some tart notes and oak is enticing. Taste is a good mix of tart notes with some acidity and oak with some nice funky ester. Body is fuller than I was expecting with good carbonation. Nice complex sour with some acidity but balanced to a manageable drinkable level.

sours are hit or miss for me, this one felt like a miss but again maybe my palate is just not able to detect the nuance. seemed a little one note in terms of acidic tartness, didnt pick up much in terms of the hops - three of my favorite varieties used in this one. still interesting to try but would definitely pass on a pour next time.
tried this close to two years later on a subsequent release, have drank two bottles, one myself and another shared. in both cases i found it excessively sour and acidic, to the point where i was basically unable to detect any other flavors. i originally wondered if i just didnt like this beer because i am new to sours, but now they are my favorite style, and funky/assertively tart saisons are some of my favorite beers. so in the end its just not for me, too one note and digressive, unable to detect any complexity.

Cloudy yellow. Not lookin good.
Nice white wine and a touch of funk nose. Maybe some butyric?
Really, really tart. Out of balance. Gets better as it warms but bracing, and I love tart beers.
Really thin.

L: Golden orange yellowish peach. Looks like a hazy new england juice bomb of an IPA. Large white head that hangs out for a while. Never seen a sour with this much retention.
S: Sour tropics. Coconut and pineapple up front. Tropical brett character and sourness comes through. Hints of mango and citrus. There is a lot going on.
T: Tropical pineapple brett. Puckering sourness but in a good way. Coconut comes through here as well. Fantastic.
F: Bright high carbonation. Very full and puckering.
O: Wow. Best dry-hopped sour I've had.
