Ten7 Brewing Co. "There's a Fruit in My Brut!"
$5.50/8 oz. at the brewery on 4-20-2019
Notes: Ruby colored body beneath a short head of white. Limited head retention and lacing. The nose is fruity with raspberry but no hops come through. This is a brut IPA with fruit added, right? Well the only thing that really makes a brut IPA a brut IPA are the hops and the strength, correct? Without the hops this is just a strong fruity beer. Oh, and it's supposedly double dry-hopped with Calypso and El Dorado... ... ... OK, you can dry hop it as many times as you want but if you don't use enough hops each time it won't matter. That's not to say that this isn't a pleasant and enjoyable beer, just that it's being promoted as more than it is. A stiff bitterness balances it and leads to a dry finish. Light-medium bodied and crisp.
