Went to grab a 6-pack and a few cans at Windmill Farms and came home with 29 beers, spending way too much money. Still kind of new to Ogopogo, maybe my second beer from them. Online description I found read “‘Actual Friends’ DDH Hazy IIPA 8.5% with Nelson, Citra, Incognito Citra, and Nelson CGX brewed with our dear friends Barebottle Brewing.”
Poured a light golden hazy color with four fingers of rocky-to-frothy white head. Plenty of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass at different speeds. World-class layered foamy-to-foggy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled Citra up front followed by Nelson. Specifically got pineapple, grapefruit, tangerine, viney berry, stone fruit and candied peach. Smelled a little better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Taste followed the nose for the most part. Still Citra up front and Nelson in the back. Specifically notes of pineapple, grapefruit, tangerine, viney berry, stone fruit, candied peach, mango and floral. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Juicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Just a really nice hazy DIPA. Outstanding overall. (Overall - 4.00)
