Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: American Double / Imperial IPA
Glass: Pure Project 14-oz. snifter elemental (water) glass
Price: $4.99
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: July 15, 2022
Consumed: July 29, 2022
Misc.: Collaboration with El Segundo Brewing; Canned on June 18, 2022
Went to grab a 6-pack and a few cans at Windmill Farms and came home with 29 beers, spending way too much money. Still kind of new to Ogopogo, but had one a week or so earlier and enjoyed it. Untappd description read “DDH IIPA collaboration with our dear friends @esbcbrews W/ Incognito Mosaic, Incognito Chinook, Michigan Chinook, and Mosaic Cryo. Poured a medium yellow clear color with three fingers of white frothy head. Could see lots of bubble streams coming up along the sides and bottom of the glass. Almost perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. Excellent foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled spicy Chinook, wood, pine, earthy malt, grapefruit rind, dry grass, floral, Mosaic, mixed berry and bubblegum. Smelled just as good from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted about as good as the nose. In order got spicy Chinook, black pepper, wood, pine, earthy malt, grapefruit peel, Mosaic, mixed berry, hints of bubblegum and dry grass. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, spicy finish. Best part of the beer. (Feel - 4.75)
Really liked this one. It grew on me each sip. (Overall - 4.25)
