16 FL OZ. can
Served in a stemless wine glass
This beer pours amber and is turbid. It is topped with a couple inches of tan head that leaves rings as I imbibe.
Dank, grapefruit, and slightly medicinal smelling.
Tastes just like it smells. Dank with loads of grapefruit and a slight medicinal flavor.
Medium bodied with a creamy, smooth mouthfeel
Good DIPA from Wax Wings

Brewed annually. Enjoyed at the source.
Citra goodness all the way. Hazy, with a punch of juice on the nose and sip. Soft, rounded finish. Easy drinking despite the strength.

No canning date (released on 2/14/22, so presumably canned within a few days of that date); consumed on 3/15/22
Pours a turbid, dark egg yolk-gold body topped with a slight finger of creamy, white foam; decent head retention leaves a thin veil of cap, a thin, frothy collar, and a chunky layering of webby lacing draping down the walls of the glass.
Aroma brings boggy orange pith into overripe guava, with slight white grape accentuating danker qualities into mossy resins over the middle and candied papaya meeting mango peel for an increasingly sweet, tropical conclusion to the bouquet.
Taste opens to mango and orange pulp upfront, sweetening with candied guava prior to a grapefruit peel balance over the mid-palate followed by a white grape dank edging slightly toward compote textures on the back end and mossy resins lingering through the finish.
Mouthfeel shows a body on the heavier end of medium with milder carbonation giving way to slick resins and a mild, gritty prickle tingling the mid-palate; a juicy burst into the back end leaves an extended, wispy hop twang fading through the finish.
A heavier take on the style, at times feeling overburdened by the whirlpool of resinous character as subtlety and detail occasionally become lost; enjoyably expressive, though lacking much in the way of thoughtful restraint.
