Pours a murky, brown-tinted black body topped with a finger of fluffy, light khaki-hued foam; decent head retention leaves a half-finger of cap, modest, frothy collar, and a thin layer of soapy lacing caking the walls of the glass.
Aromas of candied raisins sporting burnt sugar edges find a malted milk ball development through vanilla creme trails and tinges of tannic oak over time.
Taste offers candied raisins and hints of cocoa upfront as barrel vanillins develop to a toffee expansion over time.
Mouthfeel brings a medium-light body and minimal carbonation, with a slick, flaky texturing yielding contrasts of mild stickiness and char past the mid-palate and a soft barrel warmth into the finish.
Busy yet unfocused, a saturation of malt and barrel carouses underdeveloped to blindly sweet trends.
