Bought from Star Liquor store on Willy Street. My copy was bottled on 8/30/21. (Note that Giant Jones also has a Grand Tripel that has 343 ratings on UnTappd.) But, this Tripel has about 144 ratings and I also added Matronae in its name as it was prominent enough on the label... which also had three women illustrated. (This brewery is also woman-owned.)
As for Matronae, this is an impressive tripel for a three year old micro. Its Looks may be its weak point, primarily because the yeast does not produce enough swirling protein after the initial foam fades. It Smells of Fruit and that follows into the Taste (accentuated by brewers sugar) which includes a medley of spices and hops. Alcohol is well-concealed for 9.1 ABV, though it does get noticed. Full in my mouth. Certified Organic.
My first from Giant Jones, so I went on their website. They specialize in Giant beers, but spread across all three traditions. Like many young micros, the past 18 months has been a real struggle. But, they seem to be managing. And I wish them well and hope to have more of their Belgians.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
