Also found at Star Liquor on Willy Street, not far from the brewery. My copy was bottled 8-2 and started on UnTappd on 8/7/21 with only 32 ratings. This is an interesting rustic ale. It also is a bit high ABV for the style... but welcome and well done.
This Blonde could have more active Looks from swirling protein. (But admittedly, this is hard for a young brewer to achieve.) Smells are a nice hard fruit medley, mostly apples and pears; but I can imagine peaches in the mix since they are in season. Tastes are semi-sweet, but still balanced. In my mouth, this can sit. I only wish I had it with a meal.
I am impressed by how Giant Jones just launches into the Belgian tradition and does better than most of its contemporaries. While this is only my second from them, I certainly hope to have more when I return to Madison.
A Votre Sante !
