a clean and well refined lager, a little stronger than it needs to be, and with a cool hop profile, definitely hoppier than most, a southern hemisphere vibe of clean cocktail citrus, orchard fruity chardonnay, and a little essential oily bitterness. its crystal clear light golden and holds its white head well. smells fruity and bright, but also pretty sturdy on the pils malt, indeed more substantial than many when i drink it, a little boozy even for what it is, so minimal that the alcohol is exposed i guess, but its flavorful, summery, and really pretty professionally executed. it warms up poorly as the hop freshness kind of drops out of it, and it goes a little sweet from all the pils malt. overall i like the beer, but the menu says loral hops on it (among others), and as a recent fan of these, i wanted more of them in here. similarly, the lager yeast is nice and clean and crisping, but it is essentially flavorless, so the beer lacks that aspect of its character. well done though overall, i liked the beer in here, and expect some winners from them as they continue to get rolling!
