Served in a stemless wine glass
This beer pours a brown hue. When held to the light it lightens to looks rust colored. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves spotty lacing.
The smell is sweet. I get cherry with hints of fig and dates.
The taste is sweet. I get spiced pear. Good spiciness from the yeast.
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
First dubbel in quite a while. Pretty good. Nice change of pace from the popular styles that dominate my diet.
