Chardonnay barrel Toast
This beer pours yellow with a slight haze. It is topped with a few inches of off white head that leaves spotty lacing.
Wine and oak aroma. I get toast and grapes.
White wine flavor. I get oak. I get grape must. Mostly wine and oak.
Light bodied with a dry mouthfeel
I thought it was an interesting choice to barrel age a kolsch. The base beer doesn't add much to the barrel flavors and aromas. It is easy drinking and enjoyable.
