On tap at the Elliott Glacier Public House. The colour was as dark as molasses. The aroma was sweetly malty with a faint hint of hops. On the palate there was plenty of roasted malt as well as coffee and some dark chocolate to help the medium length finish.

This is a full-on, step-to-the-plate porter. And the man standing next to me at the bar, with a mug of porter in his hand, says its the best beer in the house. Why is that, I ask him. Because you cant see through it, he says. And thats what I like about Parkdale. Its a town of infallible logic.
The Baseline Porter (again, named for a landmark of Mt. Hood, not a John Entwistle riff) is solid, inarguably opaque, with toast everywhere. A porter lovers porter. Very satisfying, though it lacks head and lace and does tend to fade towards the end of the pint.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
