Our first truly West Coast style IPA, and it's been a long time coming. It's simple grain bill of 2-row barley and a light dusting of caramel malts combined with old school hops make for a beer you have to try!

Drinking this at The Balsam Falls Brewing Company in Beautiful downtown Sylva NC.
Poured from a tap into a pint glass.
Looks light Amber with a off white tannish foamy head that dropped quickly to a thin cap.
Smells grapefruit orange sweet and a bit malty.
Taste follows the nose nicely, this beer has a strong malt backbone which is a good balance with the citrusy aspects.
Mouth feel is medium plus for the style
Overall a very nice example of an IPA that I would definitely order again.

Just had at the brewpub on tap,
nice rich golden color
floral, perfume, hairspray aroma
taste is sweet, simple malt, then a hollow plastic hop bitterness thing, weird and almost drinkable
All the beer I had at Balsam Falls was thin watery faintly flavored homebrew vibe.
Overall, it was actually one of their better tries at beer. I tried 5-6 kinds..
