Drinking this at The Balsam Falls Brewing Company in Beautiful downtown Sylva NC.
Poured from a tap into a pint glass.
Appears dark amber with a nice foamy head that dropped quickly to zero.
Smells lightly bready, malty, very lightly spicy.
Taste follows the nose.
Mouth feel is medium for the style.
Overall a nice Octoberfest that I might order again.

A bit dark for an Oktoberfest, and this can't be true authentic lager anyway. Looks smells and tastes like a dark mild. There is no way this is a true lager, made with real German ingredients. A lot of these tiny brewpubs are being frauds with their "lagers". Decent brew, as in it's a drinkable dark mild ale.
