Original aroma is malt but hops come through with time.
Taste is malty with corn sweetness. Lemony hop in finish. Quite pleasant.
Beer is a little hazy. Bronze color. A pleasant lager.

This is my second Ethiopian beer ever and the second this week and both were at the same Ethiopian restaurant. And since both beer paired well with the cuisine, I've been exposed to a new culinary combo.... and I hope not over-exposed (in the morning.)
Walia Looks average for Euro lagers. Smell are mostly malt and undistinguished. While initially sweet, the Taste is balanced by modest hop. Somehow seemingly this balance is helped by the food. But Taste is still average. Light of medium-mouthed, but soft and cleansing/calming of the palate. I'd drink Walia again, but only in an Ethiopian restaurant for the overall culinary experience.

Clear, deep gold colored body. Thin white head sticks around as an island. No lacing.
Aroma is sweet malt and floral hops.
Taste is toasted malt and floral hops. There is a definite green apple flavor. Sweet lager. Quick fade in the aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel. Clean and crisp finish. Okay carbonation.
Good thirst quencher.

On-tap at Massawa, New York, NY
A: The beer is clear dark yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin layer of white bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of cooked corn are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has a subtle amount of sweetness from the corn.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied in the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink. It’s not overly flavorful, but there are no “off” flavors and it pairs well with Ethiopian food.
