This atypical saison is brewed with rye and jaggery. It is golden brown with floral and spicy notes and has a light sweetness to it. A nice all-round beer.
The beer is named after the work “Une Saison en Efer” – a season in hell – by the French poet Rimbaud.

Copenhagen 5/7 2018. 33 cl bottle from Kihosk, Sønder Boulevard, Kbh V. Two strange faces connected by some kind of Brain Waves each blinking at me on the label. Information that the Brewery is run by Autists.
Pours hazy amber with a medium-sized white head. Settles as a 1cm thick layer of foam obscuring the surface of the beer. Very moderate lacing.
Aroma is not very Saison-like. Humid basement, stuffy refrigerator, wet cardboard, caramel, light citric notes. Way sweeter than I would expect.
Medium yet soft carbonation. Slightly thick, soft texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly weaker bitterness. Not much sourness around. The aftertaste has more bitterness but is fairly short. Thin.
Kind of confused for a Saison.
