If you know us, you know we love our imperials.
But we know people aren't always in the mood for an 11% malt bomb at 4 PM (and for those who are: we salute you). Pulsar is our answer to this dilemma – perfect for everyone who loves the complexity and character of our stouts but needs something a bit more sessionable from time to time.
With gentle cherry smoke on the nose, bright raspberries in the body, and a classic coffee malt finish; Pulsar blends dark and light, bold and soft, classic and modern

I had this beer on tap in a tulip at the brewery in Budapest. The menu called this a "smoked raspberry porter", and didn't mention being a Baltic porter.
Appearance: dark brown hue with plenty of haze and a finger of frothy brown foam. Portery!
Smell: lightly smoky, roasty with a slightly acidic character. Interesting!
Taste: sweet malt with a fair bit of roasty character. The raspberry and smoke both come through, and add an interesting flavor dynamic, although there is a certain amount of astringent acidity.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: an interesting beer. Raspberry porter, plus a little smoke. Maybe not something I’m gonna order on the reg, but I’m glad I tried it.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
