Essential winter survival gear. Our darkest core brew, this all-season warmer is stacked with chocolate from front to back. Custom-roasted cacao nibs surface first with a nose of pure chocolate liquor. From there, a richly roasted body carries the palate from freshly baked brownies through to bitter drinking chocolate, with just a touch of lactose to smooth the transition.

I had this beer on-tap in a tulip glass at the brewery in Budapest.
Appearance: rich, deep dark brown, with a definite haze and a finger of dark tan foam atop. The head doesn't stick around as long as I'd like, but still it is very good.
Smell: sweet malt with caramel, toffee, and chocolate. I can tell from the aroma that this thing is gonna be sweet.
Taste: caramelly, a little roasty, chocolatey, and sweet. It's a good beer, but that final dimension is a just a little too emphasized for me — it's very sweet indeed. Fine for the style, but a lot for me.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a good carbonation and a good smoothness.
Overall: over the years my enthusiasm has waned for diabeetus stouts. This is a solid beer, but dang, the sweet!
