From notes. Excellent clarity, active, minimal head recedes rapidly. Very light amber color.
Not much going on here. Kidna grainy with hints of grassy hops.
Grainy, malty sweet, faint hop flavor and bitterness. Smooth and clean.
Plenty carbonated, light/medium body, clean finish.
Not as interesting, to me, as the LTD 01. Plenty easy to drink, but not as good as I remember it (or the LTD 01). But, I enjoy it, and I'm not much of a lager fan as a rule. So that I'm even drinking it, and bothering to review it, means that it has some things going for it.

This beer poured with a 2 finger off-white head that diminished rather quickly. The LTD had a nice clean finish with an orangy-brown color. The nose has notes of malt with a hop undertone. The beer has a brighter hop beginning and rolls into the malt-like flavors that you would expect from the smell. There is a good bit of complexity to the beer as the hop and malt flavors overlap at the end. Mouthfeel is so-so, but it has a nice drinkability. Overall I would say it's worth a try.

Almost stark orange and the head is a very thin white. The body is lighter than I expected, I drank one from the bottle and expected something closer to a cloudy brown.
Smells all kinds of malty right up front. There are hints of coriander, assorted spices.
To me, this is very much a fall beer. It's malty over hoppy, whatever edge it might have has been dulled in favor of fuller flavors. There are some citric hints, a pumpkin undertone and a touch of honey.
The brew, the carbonation, it's all light and quite drinkable. Feels a bit oily and would benefit from stronger carbonation.

Yellowish gold in my glass with almost no head retention. A couple bubble streams suggest it has a good amount of carbonation. Smell is weak but balanced, faint citrus hop notes on a thin, pale malt background. Oooo. More than I expected. It is very carbed and starts with a little bite from the bubbles, followed by a complex flavor swirl that lingers a few seconds, but ultimately finishes fairly crisp and clean. Dangerously light and drinkable for 6.4% abv. Paid $6.50 for the sixer, I'd say it was a pretty good value.

A: Poured from a bottle to a pilsner glass. had a yellow-brown color and a clear texture. There was a quarter inch of foamy head that quickly dissipated. Not much lacing.
S: Smelled mostly of malt, with a little hops.
T: Tasted of malt, more than anything, with hops and a little citrus thrown in. This style doesn't lend itself to complexity, but still an OK flavor.
M: A fair amount of carbonation with a kind of slick finish. Light-bodied.
D: Mostly drinkable, but nothing to write home about.

Served in cognac snifter
Appearance: Light foamy head, diminishes quickly with little lacing. Solid amber color, much richer than I'm used to in Pale Lagers.
Smell: Strong malty tones, hint of citrus on the back end.
Taste: Also tastes quiet malty, especially when it hits the back of pallet. The hops, and any other flavors in the beer get overwhelmed by the malty taste.
Mouthfeel: All the malt in this beer makes it feel a bit chewy on the back end. It has a medium body to it which is always nice in a lager.
Drinkability: I'd have to say this beer has average drinkability. Its easy to drink, but not particularly outstanding in any way. Because of all the maltiness it wouldn't be particularly refreshing on a summer day.
All-and-all my impression of this beer can be summed up in one word, malty. It feels like the malt really overpowers everything else in this beer. At 6.4% ABV it'll get you to where you're going, but I probably wouldn't pick up a pack of this at the store if I had the option.

Appearance was a nice clear amber. nothing too special but not bad at all.
Smell- Not a big fan of the aroma at all. kinda of a roasty cheese smell. if that makes any snese at all. not vey pleasurable.
Taste- Roasty matched with a sweet caramel tate and finishing slightly hoppy. Aftertaste of initial roasty. Complex yes, enjoyabl not so much.
Mouthfeel- Nothing too amazing. Slight carbonation.
Drinkability- Not heavy but not I dont feel the roast taste was matched up too well. It was a little overbearing.
My first sample of this brewery's beers but not my last. A 6 pack for $6 is always appreciated. I'm sure I'll check out their other LTD's at this price.

Drank in glass poured from a 12 oz bottle purchased in a 6 pack from Capital Market, Salem, OR, a most competent / comprehensive beer depot. LTD 03 was just released, June 2009.
The label references 'Helles' [bright] style pale lager which is reminiscent of maibock. In the Pacific NW, maibock equates to Rogue 'Dead Guy' Ale; a very popular beer.
a: color dark golden / dark orange; nice 1 inch head / dissipated fairly quickly
s: hint of airy citrus and hint of fruit, perhaps, apple
t: rich / multi-layered / pleasant / malty / hint of floral / hint of fruit, perhaps [again], apple
d: very drinkable. I like this beer. But, it is a little rich for multiple pints in a single session.
I am sorry LTD02 is departing / being replaced by LTD03, excepting, LTD 03 is a pilsener, and pilsener is my favorite style beer. I look forward to LTD 02 return in 2010.
Full Sail have a good thing going with their exploratory LTD series. Full Sail, keep up the good work; your are doing Oregon proud.

Poured from a bottle, procured from my local organic grocer. Smell is a sweet maltiness with minimal hops. Taste is great, exactley what one of the big breweries in America should be striving for. Slight hop bitterness with a strong malt backbone, some expected lager yeast flavor and a decent sweetness for a 6.5% lager. Mouthfeel is thick, unlike most lagers, but still very satisfying for a lager. This is my favorite summertime standing out by the grill beer. Drinkability is better then expected. I could put these down one after another at a backyard bbq, despite the high alcohol and sweetness for its style. An excellent lager, and a good example of living the dream.

Appearance: A crystal-clear, golden-amber body. Up top, a creamy whitish head that features great retention and lacing. Very pretty.
Aroma: Mildly spicy hops over a bready malt base. Maybe some hints of booze if you go looking for it.
Taste: Biscuity, bready malt leads the charge. Towards the end, the mildly bitter and spicy hops show back up to help dry up the finish. The aftertaste is of biscuity malt and a few hints of bitterness. If I had to guess, I think I'd probably have flagged this as an Ale, rather than Lager.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. It dries a bit in the finish.
Drinkability: Rather sessionable I suppose, but I don't really see myself ordering a second.
Verdict: I have to say, this is just a little boring, especially for a limited edition beer. It's inoffensive enough, and might make for a decent gateway beer, but it's just too unremarkable for me.

Poured 12oz. bottle into my LSU Tigers pub glass.
Appearance is cloudy burnt orange color. Head dissipated rather quickly after pour.
Smell has a mixture of malt and breadiness to it with a little bit of spice at the end
Taste - you really get that malt taste that follows the smell just more noticeable. The malt outweighs the hops. Slight bitterness at the end
Mouthfeel is medium body, creamy, clean and crisp, not much carbonation to notice.
Drinkability is nice, and could put down a couple. I'm glad I bought this beer

12oz bottle. Pours clear amber with a tall white foam cap. The head dissipates rather quickly to leave little lacing. Aromas of sweet caramel malts and breadiness. Sweet malty character on the taste as well, with only a hint of bitterness. Not a lot going on here. Light-medium body with lowish carbonation. Fairly unremarkable.

Thanks to Wasatch for this one in a recent trade...
Pours a rather dark golden color with a thin bit of head. Lots of big bubble action.
Smell is bready, some corn and other grains.
Taste is more of that biscuity/breadiness along with some sour malt notes. Surprisingly light bodied for the ABV.
Mouthfeel is a bit thin and watery despite the carbonation. It still very drinkable and probably great on a hot day.
