Based on conversation with the brewer during our tour, this beer is based on the traditional lager recipe that was brewed in the pubs that existed underneath city halls "back in the day" in Germany. I would consider Zwickel Lager a medium bodied unfiltered lager, with a slight malty sweetness (nice body, good character and a slight haze). My second favorite at this brewery behind the K-Town SMASH.
