Pours cloudy lemon with stacks of velvet white foam but it clears to look like a lager and the head leaves only the stray trailer - odd. Waxy yeast, cookie sweetness and some lemon rind on the nose. Fresh batch loaf with some citrus and coriander up front, slightest clove hop hit and some grass and tangerine oil to finish. Flash of tropical fruit at the finish and surprisingly dry linger. Light, fizzy, some cling.

There's a good wit in here somewhere struggling to get out, but I'm betting Corporate won't let that happen. A summery, dumbed-down-for-the-masses beer. Undersized (30cl) bottles, too.

Belgian Style White.
330 ml bottle, 5 % abv, poured a little bit too warm at 6 degrees celcius in a tripple Lefort glass.
Hazy yellow white, 1,5 finger white head, fast dissolving.
Smell, milk and citrus, little bit of malts and yeast.
Taste, clearly infused with citrus and koriander, hoegaarden stijl, but with a more dominant yeasty acidity.
Mouthfeel, there is something strangely milky about it.
Not a bad beer.
Underchill on hot summer days. Quite refreshing and drinkable.

300 ml bottle, from Bio Station Store, Antwerpen Centraal. Organic. ABV is 5.0%. Hazy straw colour, moderate white head. Unfresh aroma of malts and stale jam, a hint of coriander. The flavour is somewhat better and fresher than the aroma, notes of wheat, citrus peel and coriander. Moderate hops.

A light yellow colour with a decent head of foam, although it disappeared quite fast. Nice fresh smell of clove and yeast. Taste was disappointing however: too sweet for my liking. Due to the citric flavour, it feels a bit like you're drinking a soft drink or one of those terrible radlers that have been flooding the dutch beer market lately. Refreshing and drinkable, yes, but "beer essence" is lacking a bit with this brew.

300 ml bottle, at home. Poured into a tumbler glass. ABV 5%. Muddy yellow colour, just a bit hazy body. Two fingers of white, soapy head, with low retention. Aroma of wheat, very faint citrus fruits and coriander. Very sweet taste, with wheat and coriander being the dominant flavours. Some honey notes are traceable too. Medium to full body, lightly carbonated. Only a bit dry on the palate. Overall, something different from the wit biers I am used to but very enjoyable.

I had this beer in my fridge for quit some weeks. Bought it in a locat liquershop. Best before may 2012.

Poured, as always in my fovourite glass from the Struise. Cloudy yellow fluid with a three finger head. No carbonation at all. After two minutes the head is gone, leaving a tiny head of a quarter of a finger.

What can i say about the smell? Typicla for whitebeer, not spectacular and i though i smelled linoleum, honestly.

Taste is flat, nothing going on in this beer. Watery mouthfeel.

The liquid is very cloudy; the colour is beige-orange. The head is one finger high, it sinks quickly leaving lots of sticky lacing.

The smell is sweet-sour and semi-fresh. Some sweet citric notes, some nice yeasty notes. A bit thin, though.

The taste is sweet and soft, somewhat like a soda drink. Mixed fruits and mild spices. The aftertaste is creamy with sweet malty-wheaty flavours and cloves.

The carbonation is mild; the liquid is thick and sticky.

To me, a witbier should be fresh and refreshing. This one was heavy, almost dense. I didn't really like it.
