Another Budels beer that is unremarkable in all aspects. Very bright rich gold colour, Kind of a weird soft palate with not enough finish. Drinkable but unremarkable which considering these guys have been around since 1870 is not quite good enough. Too bad.

It is hard to believe this beer gets these bad reviews, I found this beer to be quite likable and although this isn't a huge taste explosion, is is not as bad as the other reviewers believe.
Appearance is a clear, golden beer with a big, bubbly head and a steady stream of carbonation.
Smell is mostly honey supported by malt and a little husky smells.
Taste is malty with strong honey notes and spicy, doughy flavors. The beer is fresh and it tastes like a pils, but with a lot more taste. Bitterness is just right and is balancing the (bit too) sweet maltiness.

Pale gold, brilliant clarity. Big, fluffy, bright white head reduces quickly, but leaves some lacing behind. Grainy malt aroma, cereal-like, with a hint of fruit and lemon. Thin malt sweetness to start, followed by a bit of hop spice and citrus. Finishes with some ginger, but the flavour falls away quickly. Light body, off-dry finish, moderate-to-high carbonation with a bit of a bite. There's nothing really wrong here, just nothing exciting. Seems a bit thin, both in the finish and the body.

It's clear. Very clear. Like a macro lager clear. Is this supposed to be a Belgain ale? Or is it Stella Artois? However, it does leave a very good head. About a fingers worth of dense foam. Smells of corn, malts and bubblegum. Taste is alright. Lightly sweet, with a mingling herbal bitterness. Bit of bubblegum taste on the swallow. Mouthfeel is a little oily. Overall, a subpar beer. Not worth paying for again, but will take it if offered.

Not a very pretty pale ale due mainly to its lack of a crowning glory.
As thin as the head was, it did stick around for a good while leaving a nice glass cling.
Light golden, very clear with very active carbonation rounds out the appearance of this brew...actually begins to imrove its appearance as sample continues.
Aroma is very thin, light of malty grains.
The taste is quite pleasant in that it seems to take you to different places....starts to a grassy/grainy like sweetness that tickles the taste buds with the aid of the carbonation.
Then floral hops push their way in with a ginger back. Originally creamy which dries quickly. Very enjoyable !

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a below medium head with very little retention. Aroma is quite weak with only some malt being noticeable. Taste is quite light with some malt noticeable and a creamy feeling near the ends. I have hard time to believe they even try to do a Belgian Ale with this but anyway this is plain bad for the style.

This beer just is not appetizing. Appears flat, pale yellow, no head after a hard pour. No lacing, just some nasty bubbles. Aroma of sweet malt, corn and some floral hoppiness. However, I did like the taste. It was sweet up front, with some fruity flavours. It's balanced by a dry bitterness at the end. Quite a drinkable ale, but not very true to it's style. However, the bottom line is that this is a flavourful brew. Probably the best out of their disappointing sampler.

0 for 4 with Budels now. this just isn't up my alley. Parel pours a golden yellow, very clear and little liveliness. the head is poor and fades fast. the nose is grainy and sweet. some bready notes and hints of petrol. taste wise i found some sweet corn and light hop bitterness on the finish as well as noticeable malt in the background. light mouthfeel. slight creaminess. i've tried but i just can't get into these beers. another poor offering in my book.

Pours a clear, pale golden yellow with a short white head that has no staying power. Undistinguished in appearance except for managing to give up some lace as it goes.
Alcohol on the nose along with some hopiness.
Fruity and sweet. Thick and heavy on the palate, almost gummy, with a cloying, lingering sweetness.
Couldn't get past the heavy, syrupy character of this one. Doesn't work for me.

this beer is described as a kolsch in Michael Jackson's Pocket Guide to Beers. It pours a nice gold color with a modest head that leaves a good amount of lace behind. The aroma is of sweet candy malts and some spicey, herbal hop notes. The taste is a very impressive blend of sweet malt, hops and fruity yeast. The sweet, some what fruity malts are the first flavor, quickly followed by a complex bitter and herbal hoppiness. This beer is hoppier than I expected. In the middle and finish theres also a fruity, bubblegum yeast character. The mouthfeel is smooth and pleasant, even a little mouth coating. This is my favorite of the Budels offerings Ived tried for sure, very tastey and complex.
